Chicago Street Fashion - Spring Greens
Those beautiful 80 degree days in March really threw us Chicagoans for a loop. Even though it felt freezing over the weekend, it is STILL spring, as evidenced by this gloriously green photo.

Designer Tracy Reese in Chicago
I caught up with designer Tracy Reese when she was in town last week to show her pre-fall line at an event at Anthroplogie's lovely bridal store BLHDN.
Tracy was kind enough to come outside for a little street style action and was incredibly laid back, warm and down to earth.
Take a look at the gorgeous collection at BHLDN here.

School of the Art Institute of Chicago Fashion Show
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago had their annual undergraduate fashion show last week, with 40 seniors showing their work in a tent at Millennium Park. There was also a veritable street style runway outside the tent filled with student designers, patrons, and stylish attendees. See all the amazing looks I captured below.
Senior Andrew Cruz showed an incredible space age women's collection. See his work here
Meagan of of the blog Latterstyle looks fabulous here in her owl eye print jacket.
Cynthia Rowley and her husband Bill Powers were honored with the 2012 SAIC Legend of Fashion Award.
Jenn Lake looks beautiful here in vintage Oscar de la Renta.
This striking woman is wearing an ensemble designed by SAIC graduate student Justin Le Blanc
Senior Paul Musial showed a cool collection of bright menswear separates. Check out some of the pictures I took of his work on Racked Chicago.

Topshop Spring Style Event Roundup
I've finally gotten my act together and gotten this post up from the fabulous Spring style event I hosted back in April with Topshop, Amy Creyer and CS Magazine. The party was a MAJOR hit with over 1000 attendees, and perhaps most importantly it was FUN as heck.
Topshop gave me this lovely ensemble to wear. I am seriously addicted to this white jacket. I have literally worn it 3-4 times a week since acquiring it. So versatile and still available at Topshop.
Party rockers in the house. See more wild photobooth pics on facebook
London (yes that's his real name) looks amaze-balls in this gilded grecian wreath. He wins best dressed at this event. Hands down.
Adorable Luis Torres of Chic Overload poses with designer Azeeza Desai Khan of Aztelier AZZA and her crew.
One of the nicest parts of the evening was getting to spend some quality time with my co-host and fellow street style photographer Amy Creyer of Chicago Street Style. She looks lovely here in Topshop neon.

Coachella Street Style - Let's Hear it for the Boys
I snapped so many photos of stylish ladies at Coachella this year, but don't think for a minute it was for a lack of great looking men. Here are some fabulous, stylish and plain wacky dudes I caught up with in the desert.
Artist Alexander Antebi of the band Conquistador does not fuck around. Check out the rad music on his site that's a delicious combo platter of Joy Division, The B52s, and a number of secret ingredients that I have yet to put my finger on.
School of the Art Institute Fashion Show - Abigail
Abigail Glaum-Lathbury is a faculty member in the fashion department at SAIC.
Abigail's dress is just spectacular and is of her own design. Nice work lady.
See more of her extraordinary work on her site Elmidae AND if you're in Chicago her line is carried in the cool shop p45 located in Bucktown.

School of the Art Institute Fashion Show - Mickey Boardman
Last Thursday night, adorable Mickey Boardman of Paper Magazine returned to his home town of Chicago as the Master of Ceremonies for the SAIC fashion show "The Walk". How cute does he look in this Joseph Abboud suit paired with the super sparkly Lanvin shirt.
Be on the look out for TONS more fabulous SAIC street style over the course of the week. In the meantime click-ity clack over to Racked Chicago to see all the luscious looks from the show that I snapped.
You know what they say, glitter always goes with glitter (ok no one says this, but they should). I really wish that Mr. Mickey would decide he didn't need these Junya Watanabe shoes anymore and send them my way. Just email me for my addy M ;)

Coachella Street Style - Modcloth Guest Instagrammer
One of the funnest parts of going to Coachella this year was getting to be the official Modcloth Instagrammer. I snapped all kinds of cool festival Mamas for their feed and blog. Go check out their site to see all the festival style I captured for them.
The best part of Coachella though, was the music (obv) which is what brought everyone together in the first place. My personal highlights were Radiohead, hearing Pulp's "The Common People" and of course Snoop and Dre with a holographic special appearance by Tupac. Can't wait till next year, although I have no idea how they'll top 2012.

Another rad part of the weekend was staying at Lake Eldorado, a private VIP camping area on the grounds that is breathtakingly beautiful and filled with teepees!
